This policy applies only to the website 23north.ch. The SEANA app and the website seana.app are covered by SEANA’s privacy policy (German). We comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What happens when you visit this site

For technical reasons your browser sends your IP address, the requested address, the time, the browser identifier (user agent) and, where applicable, the referring page to our web server (Caddy). The server needs this information to deliver the page.

An access log recording every request is not switched on. Error and operating messages of the server may contain an IP address; we read them only to detect faults and attacks, and we do not pass them on. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The server is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland, which operates it on our behalf.

No cookies, no tracking

• This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
• It uses no analytics, advertising or social media services.
• The home page uses JavaScript only for animations (contour lines, fading in while scrolling, the app illustration, the flight over Zurich). The scripts store nothing and send nothing; the one for the flight over Zurich is only loaded when you scroll to that section. All content is just as readable without JavaScript.
• Fonts, images and scripts are served from our own server. Your browser contacts no third-party provider — no Google Fonts, no CDN.

When you write to us

If you write to hello@23north.ch, we process your email address and the content of your message in order to reply. We keep the message for as long as your request requires and do not pass it on to third parties.

Links to other sites

If you follow a link to seana.app, SEANA’s privacy policy applies there. Your browser connects to that site only once you click.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability. Write to hello@23north.ch; we reply within 30 days. The supervisory authority in Switzerland is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); in the EU, the authority of your place of residence.

Changes

If what this site does changes, we will update this policy. The version published here applies.
